Lorient faced off against Marseille in an exciting football match played at the Stade Yves Allainmat - Le Moustoir. With the score 1:4 in favour of Marseille at half-time, the final score ended in a 2:4 victory for the away team. "Marseille" did not start the game immediately: K. Mbemba scored a goal already in the third minute. The visiting team continued to dominate at the beginning of the match, and already in the ninth minute P. Aubameyang hit the opponent's goal. On 14 minutes, Lorient player V. Le Goff received a yellow card, and on 16 minutes - B. Mendy. Marseille's L. Balerdi was also not ignored by the referee, receiving a yellow card in the 21st minute. In the course of the first half Marseille again demonstrated their skills in attack, and in the 33rd minute L. Balerdi scored the third goal. However, just before the break Lorient managed to get back on track: on 41 minutes R. Faivre struck the goal. Marseille quickly responded with another goal, this time from P. Aubameyang in the 42nd minute. With the score at 1:4 at half-time, Lorient came out determined for the second half.
B. Mendy scored on 52 minutes, giving the hosts hope. As the minutes went by, tension grew and both teams received a yellow card each. Marseille's R. Lodi and S. Gigot received yellow cards on the 57th and 59th minutes respectively. Lorient's B. Innocent was also suspended by the referee in the 62nd minute. Lorient made their first substitution in the 66th minute: J. Ponceau was replaced by A. Tosin. Tosin. The match continued to be fiercely contested, and in the 71st minute F. Mendy received a yellow card for Lorient. Marseille also made changes, bringing on A. Harit and P. Gueye as the first substitutes in the 72nd minute. Lorient made a fourth substitution in the 80th minute, replacing B. Mendy with D. Yongwa. However, in the same minute Marseille were left with ten men as J. Clauss received a red card. Marseille responded with the third and fourth substitutions in the 83rd minute: Vitinha and M. Murillo replaced A. Harit and P. Gueye respectively. In the 87th minute, Lorient made their last substitution: G. Kaloula replaced E. Gueye. Kalula was replaced by E.J. Crupi. Despite Lorient's energetic play in the second half, Marseille managed to hold on to their lead and win 2-4. The match demonstrated the resilience and skill of both teams, becoming an interesting spectacle for football fans.
