However, Girona's Valeri had other plans as he scored another goal in the 80th minute to further increase the lead. In the 87th minute Girona made the last substitution. I. Martin replaced J. E. Solis Romero, adding fresh energy to maintain their advantage, but Barcelona were determined to salvage something from the match. In the 90th minute, I. Gündogan scored one goal, giving Barcelona hope of a comeback. However, Girona's K. Stuani dashed those hopes by scoring an extra goal in the final minutes of the game. In the final minutes, Barcelona's R. Araujo received a yellow card, reflecting the disappointment of the team that suffered a disappointing defeat. The match ended with a 4-2 victory for Girona over Barcelona. Both teams showed their abilities and fought hard throughout the match.
