It is reported that Čeferin wants to amend the UEFA statutes to allow him to run for a fourth presidential term.

According to the current rules of the organisation, the UEFA president is not allowed to hold his post for more than three terms. Čeferin wants to amend the charter to cancel any term before 2017. That is, his first term as well. This will allow the Slovenian to run for election in 2027.

It is known that these changes can be made during the UEFA Congress in Paris.

We would like to remind you that Čeferin became the head of UEFA in 2016, replacing Michel Platini as the organisation's president.
