Robert Lewandowski scored only one goal in the group stage of the CL for the first time in 12 years

Barcelona's Polish striker Robert Lewandowski scored only one goal in the group stage of the current Champions League draw. It happened in the first round, in a 5-0 home win over Antwerp.

Thus, the 35-year-old forward scored one goal in the group stage for the first time since the 2011/2012 season. Back then, the Pole played for Borussia Dortmund.

The 2019/2020 season was Lewandowski's most successful in terms of goals in the group stage. In that Champions League draw, as a member of Bayern Munich, Robert scored 10 times in six matches of the quartet.
