The new owner of Niva Buzova is not going to leave his native Kudrivka. Roman Solodarenko himself told about this in a conversation with a correspondent of Sport.ua.
- Roman, you have been surprising lately... First a change of coach and almost a change of location for Kudrivka, then the purchase of another club. How quickly did you come up with the idea of becoming the owner of Buzovia's Niva? And what will happen to Kudrivka now?
- Why surprise me? I said last year: in seven years, Kudrivka will play in the Champions League. It will take us two years to enter and play in the First League, and another five years to play in the UPL. Perhaps the war slowed down the process a little, but Kudrivka was, is and will be. And it will play in the Champions League. As for Niva, I can't say that I decided to take on this project right away, but everything happened quite quickly.
I don't see any problems in the fact that two clubs will have the same owner, this is not the first precedent. Just think of Alliance and Victoria. Or take LNZ and Viktoria, who had the same owner and played in the same league. And our two clubs are still in different leagues. There's no need to worry about Niva, as it will be a team that will fight for the top five in the first league.
- It will not be possible to rename Niva in the middle of the season. Should we expect the sign to be changed in the summer?
- These are legal issues. I don't want to talk about them yet, there will be work for lawyers.
- In the first part of the season, Niva hosted its rivals at the Yubileinyi Stadium in Bucha. Where will the team play its home games now?
- I have some thoughts on this, but this issue has not been resolved yet.
- The old team has already received the documents. Is it possible that some of the players will stay with Niva?
- It is possible. I'll tell you, even before it became known about Niva's closure, Kudrivka had reached an agreement with two players from Buzova. But then they agreed to move to Kudrivka, a second-league team. Now we will have to recruit another squad, and it is too early to say which of the players will end up in Kudrivka or Niva. Our sporting director Yevhen Kushnir will work on building the structure. He is working on it, and I am sure of him, our desire is off the charts, so I think we will succeed.
- When is the revamped Niva scheduled to come back from the holidays?
- "On 18 December, we will gather with the players we have, work for six days, and have two sparring matches. And in January, I think we will have an understanding of who will prepare for the spring part of the season with Kudrivka and who will prepare with Niva.
Buzovska Niva finished 4th in Group A of the First League in the autumn season with 27 points. In the standings of the Champion Group, the team is in ninth position.
"Kudrivka scored 24 points in the first 16 matches in the second league and is sixth. The team, which was taken over by Roman Loktionov at the end of November, is aiming to win a ticket to the First League at the end of the season.
