Midfielder Denys Kostyshyn, who recently returned from the US to play in the Ukrainian league, told us about the reasons for his long journey.
- "I had very little playing time in Oleksandriya. The team under Yurii Gura did not count on me. And I didn't know that there would be a change of coach. We missed Ruslan Rotan's appointment by a week and a half. If I had known that Ruslan Petrovych would come, I would have been at least 70 per cent sure to stay.
I received an offer from the USA, where I was given playing time. I played all 34 games of the championship in El Paso. I got what I went for. I played not in the MLS, but in the second strongest division - the USL championship. To be honest, I have had a lot of experience in my entire career. Everything is new. But I quickly acclimatised to the team. There were no problems with the language or with relationships within the team. Everyone says America, the first league. But the level is very good. Especially the attacking players," said Denis.
