The football season in Ukraine has gone on a winter break, so it's time to analyse the first half of the season for Dynamo thanks to data from Wyscout.

The Premier League has played 17 rounds out of 30, with Dynamo playing just 14 matches (just like Zorya, who played the fewest matches of all the league participants) and tied with Shakhtar for the fewest points lost.
At the same time, the White and Blues went into the winter break in 5th place in the standings. In 14 matches, Dynamo won 9 matches, drew once (like Chornomorets, the fewest in the league) and lost 4 times. Dynamo is 6 points behind Kryvbas and Dnipro-1, who are in first and second place respectively, having played three fewer matches.
Goals
Despite having played fewer matches than most of its rivals, Dynamo is the most prolific scorer in the league, having scored 33 goals.
Interestingly, the xG indicator of expected goals of the Kyiv team almost coincides with the actual number of goals and is 33.7. Dynamo also leads the league in this indicator.
In terms of xG against (expected goals conceded ), Dynamo is second only to Dnipro-1, with 14.3. At the same time, in terms of actual goals conceded (18), the White and Blues share 6-7 places with LNZ.
In terms of expected xPoints (30 ), Dynamo is the second team in the league (Dnipro-1 has 31).
Out of the 33 goals scored by Dynamo, 2 goals were the result of long shots (6%), 4 were the result of counterattacks (12%), 4 goals were scored as a result of set pieces (12%), and 6 were scored after direct free kicks and penalties (18%).
Dynamo scored more often in the first half than in the second, with the most productive 15 minutes being the final 15 minutes of a game (including stoppage time).

Dynamo's interceptions rate is one of the lowest in the league - 30.97 on average per game, with only Chornomorets having a lower rate.

In terms of the average number of passes per match, Dynamo ranks third in the league (after Shakhtar and Dnipro-1) - 434 passes, 87% of which are accurate passes (the best indicator along with Shakhtar). The average passing distance is 19.62 metres.

"Dynamo is second in terms of the number of passes to the final third of the pitch - 52 on average per game (Shakhtar - 58.9), 80% of which were accurate (the best in the league). Kyiv lead the league in terms of the average number of passes from deep within the 20-yard box - 13.96 per game.
"The Bilo-Syni averaged 13.7 crosses per match (9th in the league, with Rukh, Vorskla and Kolos leading the way), 29% of which were accurate. These crosses were evenly distributed along the flanks, but the percentage of accurate crosses from the right flank was higher (34%) than from the left (25%).
Fouls and set pieces
On average, Dynamo's opponents break the rules 10.72 times per game (13th in the league). At the same time, Dynamo is also one of the least rude teams in the league - 10.13 fouls per game (only Metalist 1925 has fewer). Dynamo's players received 29 yellow cards (only Kryvbas' players have fewer). However, Dynamo have 4 penalties (only five teams have more).
