Review of the match Celta - Granada:
In a tense La Liga match between Celta Vigo and Granada, the former came away with a 1-0 victory. In a match played at the Abanca Balaidos stadium, both teams put in their best in search of three points. The first half started energetically, with Celta Vigo taking control of the game from the start. In the 20th minute, Celta Vigo found success thanks to a goal from J.C. Larsen, putting their team ahead. Larsen's clinical strike delighted the home fans, giving Celta Vigo the lead. However, the match was not without fouls and yellow cards. Larsen, a Celta Vigo player, was sent off in the 22nd minute after a gross error. This would later cost him dearly as he was substituted in the 72nd minute. Celta Vigo continued to dominate the midfield, but Granada struggled to get back into the game. In the 29th minute, Celta player C. Vazquez also received a yellow card, which increased the tension on the pitch. At the start of the second half, Celta Vigo made their first substitution, bringing on O. Mingesa in place of K. Vazquez in the 62nd minute. However, the match became increasingly heated, with both teams receiving more and more yellow cards. In the 66th minute Celta Vigo's V. Guaita was sent off, and in the 70th minute C. Dotor was sent off.
In the 71st minute, Granada, losing the score, made the first substitution: G. Villar came on instead of O. Melera. Villar came on in place of O. Melendo. Celta Vigo responded with two quick substitutions, bringing on L. de la Torre and A. Duvikas instead of J.C. Larsen and J. Bamba respectively in the 72nd minute. Tensions continued to rise, and in the 75th minute, Celta Vigo's M. Ristic received a yellow card. However, the main blow for Celta Vigo came in the 80th minute when I. Aspas received a red card, leaving his team with ten men for the rest of the match. Granada tried to capitalise on Celta Vigo's numerical advantage and made three substitutions in the 82nd minute, bringing on C. Neve, R. Sanchez and L. Boye. However, their efforts were thwarted by a resolute Celta Vigo defence. Realising their precarious position, Celta Vigo made their fourth and final substitution in the 90th minute, replacing K. Dotor with F. Beltran. Granada CF also made a late substitution: A. Puertas came on in place of S. Ruiz. In the 90th minute, G. Gumbau and F. Didiou received yellow cards, which further reflected the tense nature of the match. Despite their best efforts, Granada were unable to equalise and the match ended with a 1-0 win for Celta Vigo. This hard fought victory will serve as a good incentive for Celta Vigo to continue in La Liga. Granada, on the other hand, will be disappointed with their performance, but will try to bounce back in the next match.
The following matches await the rivals in the next round: Villarreal - Celta, Granada - Sevilla.
