Chelsea captain Reece James has successfully undergone surgery after a hamstring injury. The defender will need up to four months to recover.
"The football world knew I was injured, but the procedure I went for this time took a little longer to find the best solution.
I had an operation to try to solve a hamstring problem that I often have. The recovery began, both physical and psychological.
After this injury, I received good support, but much more hatred and negativity. Believe me, I don't want to get injured, I'm happiest when I play football," James wrote on his Instagram page.
