Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed the details of his work with the former Naples coach Rudi Garcia, who was fired in autumn.

"I realised I had to fire him on the first day we introduced him as a coach. This is a specialist who comes to the club and says: 'I don't know anything about Napoli, I haven't watched any of their games'. I started laughing after he said that, but he repeated his words again. I just needed to keep the football that Spalletti had, but instead he insisted that I sack a terrific fitness coach so that he could bring in his own specialist," De Laurentiis said.
