Turkish "Besiktas" on its official website announced the dismissal of head coach Riza Chalymbay, who was appointed to this post recently, in the first half of November.

Photo - Y.YurievThe reason for this decision of the management of the "Black Eagles" was the unsatisfactory results that "Besiktas" showed under the leadership of Chalymbay (in seven matches - 3 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats). At the same time, after 16 rounds of the current Turkish championship, the Istanbul team occupies only 5th place, behind the leading Fenerbahce and Galatasaray by as much as 17 points.
Now the position of the head coach of "Besiktas" is vacant again and, quite likely, it will be taken by the former coach of Kyiv Dynamo Mircea Lucescu.
Recall, according to the Turkish media, the Black Eagles are actively negotiating not only with this Romanian specialist, but also with a young German coach Miroslav Klose, who was offered to become the chief assistant to Lucescu, so that in a year and a half already become the head coach of Besiktas. Both specialists have already been offered contracts until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Given that there will be virtually no winter break in the Turkish league (the pause in the championship will be only two weeks), the decision on the appointment of the new head coach of Besiktas will surely be made in the very next few days.
