French President Emmanuel Macron answered a question about the future of PSG striker Kylian Mbappe amid rumours of his departure from the club at the end of this season.
"Kylian Mbappe is a great footballer. His future? I am not his agent. He is a great athlete. Kylian has taken on the role of captain in the national team. In 2024, we will take part in the Euros, which I hope we will win. Mbappe will be in the spotlight, as will his young colleague Zaïm Emery. If we are talking about the athlete of the year, then Kilian could be the best athlete of last year and the year before," RMC Sport quoted Macron as saying.
