Minaya head coach Zeljko Ljubenovic has revealed that he had no fear of war in Ukraine when he accepted the offer he received from his current club.
"War is always scary. However, I really wanted to develop, to progress in every possible way in my coaching career. So every time I went to Ukraine during a full-scale invasion - whether it was Kiev or Lviv - I didn't even think about whether it was scary or not.
Frankly speaking, I was not afraid. I was ready for it, because, unfortunately, I had lived through two wars. So I know very well what it is like.
So I had absolutely no doubts. As soon as I received the offer, I did not hesitate - I immediately agreed. At that moment there were no thoughts about any war or anything else. I really wanted to return to Ukraine," UA-Football quoted Lubenovic as saying.
