Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has commented on the upcoming departure of winger Mohamed Salah to the Egyptian national team to take part in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations.
"Every long-term plan depends on who is available. So why do I have to think in October about who to use when Mohamed is not available?
This is not the first time Salah has gone to the Africa Cup of Nations. We've had worse in the past when both Mo and Mane have left the team, but we've always managed to cope.
We knew that the Africa Cup of Nations is held in the winter and Mo had to go. And the Asian Cup as well. We knew it and now we have to accept it and we will," Klopp was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
