As previously reported, former Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu has refused to take charge of Turkish side Besiktas. It has now emerged that the 78-year-old footballer gave a recommendation to the management of the Istanbul club as to which coach they should pay attention to.
According to Fotomac, Lucescu recommended his son Razvan Lucescu, who is currently coaching Greek PAOK, to Besiktas as the best candidate.
However, the Istanbul club were not impressed with this idea at all and did not even consider such an option.
It is reported that at the moment Besiktas are focusing their attention on French coach Bruno Genesio, known for his work with Lyon and Rennes, who is currently without a club.
