According to the Turkish media, the Black Eagles, immediately after the recent dismissal of their previous manager Riza Calymbay, the first thing they did was to contact Lucescu, but he refused.

The 78-year-old explained his decision by the fact that he did not want to take over the team in the middle of the season. As a result, negotiations between Besiktas and Lucescu have not even started.
