- I am very pleased that Phil Foden has learnt his lesson after the match against Crystal Palace. In the games against Urava, Fluminense, Everton and Sheffield Wednesday, Foden looked incredible. All four games were at the highest level. He played great, scored and assisted. That's what we need from him.

He lost the ball, slowed down the attack. He is so young, he felt guilty, he wanted to make amends, but he earned a penalty. There was a five-man advantage against one or two. We talked about that situation in the penalty area. Phil always aims for the goal, he is calm. Scoring is the most difficult task.

It's part of the process. At that moment he was so depressed because he is an incredibly nice guy. The lesson was learnt, I hope it won't happen again. This is football, we are all human, sometimes it happens," the Manchester Evening News quoted Guardiola as saying.

It will be recalled that in the match against Crystal Palace, Phil Foden earned a penalty at the end of the match. This allowed the Eagles to gain one point.
