According to former Dynamo midfielder Serhiy Kovalets, the Ukrainian national team could have beaten Italy, as the players from the Apennines gave a lot of effort in the match against North Macedonia.
- "What I didn't like a bit was that we could have beaten Italy. Not because we are stronger, but because they had a match with North Macedonia the day before. In their home match, the Italians expended a lot of energy and emotion. We had everything to beat Italy. We had to do everything to win," the expert said in the Football Format programme.
