Sunderland coach: "The first goal - what a moment for Rusyn!"

Sunderland head coach Michael Beale commented on the 2-0 victory over Preston in the Premier League matchday 26.

Michael Beale

- The schedule is just ridiculous. We saw it at the end with two tired teams. I think the story of the game is that the striker scored for Sunderland. The movement from Naz (Rusin - ed .) was just fantastic. The second goal is a credit to our whole team. The young goalkeeper comes out and takes the ball. Then he makes a throw 60-70 metres into the field to Jack Clarke, and then Naz scores his first goal for Sunderland. What a moment for him!

People may overlook how difficult it has been for him in recent months. Rusyn came here without his family, learning a new language, not scoring until now. But I think it's a great goal for a striker, he ran in front of the defender and scored. In the second half we looked very tired, it was the fourth game in 10 days. We couldn't keep up the same level, so we wanted to play as well as we could in the first half," said Beale.
