In the 36th minute, the visitors' goal was also cancelled due to an offside position by D. Byrne. The first half came to an end and both teams received yellow cards: L. Diaz and L. Miley were warned for Liverpool and Newcastle respectively.
The second half got off to a thrilling start for Liverpool in the 49th minute when M. Salah finally hit the back of the net to put his team ahead. However, the visitors showed their fighting spirit by scoring in the 81st minute thanks to a goal by S. Botman. In the 86th minute, a penalty was awarded to Liverpool, and M. Salah had the opportunity to score a double. He confidently converted the penalty, giving his team a 4-2 lead. In the final minutes of the game, Newcastle's S. Longstaff received a yellow card, which added to their disappointment. Both teams showed great determination throughout the match and in the end Liverpool were deserved winners with an impressive 4-2 victory over Newcastle. The match at Anfield was an incredible spectacle for the fans, demonstrating the excitement and competitiveness of the Premier League.
