The Czech Football Federation has announced that domestic specialist Ivan Hašek has been appointed as the new head coach of the national team.
It is reported that with the 60-year-old mentor signed a contract until 2025, namely until the end of the qualifying cycle of the World Cup-2026, with an option to extend the agreement until the end of the final part of this world championship.
Hašek has already coached the Czech national team: under his leadership the team played in the qualifying cycle of the 2010 World Cup, but failed to make it to the World Cup.
Recall, Hasek's predecessor was Jaroslav Shilgavy. He led the Czech national team to Euro 2024, after which he decided to leave his position.
