French side Strasbourg have put Ukrainian defender Eduard Sobol up for transfer, L'Equipe reports.
According to the source, Strasbourg head coach Patrick Vieira no longer counts on the 28-year-old player and does not see him in the squad.
The current season was a failure for Sobol because of a broken nose, which he received during the summer pre-season training of his team. After that, the Ukrainian appeared on the pitch for the first time only at the end of October. In total this season, Sobol came on as a substitute three times and totalled only 22 minutes on the pitch. At the same time, the defender was included in Strasbourg's application 13 times.
We should add that Sobol moved to the French club at the beginning of last year from Belgian "Brugge". The defender's contract with Strasbourg runs until the summer of 2026. According to Transfermarkt estimates, the current transfer value of the player is 2 million euros.
