Former Dynamo Kyiv captain Serhiy Sydorchuk, who now plays for Belgian side Westerlo, spoke about life outside his home country, where he is currently living with his family.
Sergey Sidorchuk"A few years ago, it was hard to imagine living outside of Kyiv. Since last year, I have had to live in different countries because of the war and my career. It was difficult. But then you learn to see the silver lining. Especially in Belgium, there is a good attitude towards Ukrainians, you can feel the support.
The city we live in is very quiet and peaceful. I would say, for those who have a family and are looking for peace. So it was perfect for us.
Another factor - the most important for my wife and me and all parents - is the school. Because of the language barrier, it's not so easy, but our Kira is doing well and thanks to her knowledge of English, she's doing well.
This is a difficult and important experience for children, which I hope will make them stronger and useful for their future life," Sydorchuk wrote on his Instagram page, adding the above photo.
