"Negotiations started and ended. I met with the representative of Besiktas - the general manager, we talked for about five hours. I told them what mistakes were made by the team, gave them some advice based on my experience.

I made my ideas very clear to them, because I am not in favour of leading the team in the middle of the season. But if the question of starting co-operation again in six months, I will agree.

Besiktas' proposal was that I should lead the team now - for six months, and then, if I want and everything goes well, we will continue the contract.

The team has no more chances to fight for the title, and I'm used to coaching clubs that are fighting for the championship. I need time to rebuild what has been destroyed. So it is out of the question now, but if there is an offer in the summer, I will consider it," Lucescu told Iamsport.ro.

Тем кто борется за чемпионство не нужен новый тренер, как правило.
