Gabon midfielder Géllor Kanga Kakou is suspected of forging official documents, BeIN Sports reports.
Kakou Kanga's story was already publicised in 2021, when the Federation of the Democratic Republic of Congo published documents showing that Guelor's real name is Kiakou Kiakou Kiangana and he was born in Kinshasa (DR Congo) in October 1985, not in Gabon in September 1990. As a confirmation, a card filled in on 4 September 2003, the day he was signed by Malebo, a team from Kinshasa, was attached. As a result of the documentary reconstruction, Kiangana should have become Kakou Kanga in 2007, when he moved to Mangansport, becoming a Gabonese citizen and receiving a 5-year discount.
At that time, the CAF disciplinary committee decided not to impose sanctions on the player and the Gabonese national team. Now, Kanga Kakou will have to explain to the committee how it could be that his mother died in 1986 and he was born in 1990.
