Aston Villa coach Unai Emery has been named the best coach of the month in the English Premier League.
The Spaniard was ahead of Andoni Iraola, Jurgen Klopp and David Moyes in the voting. In December, the Villans played seven league matches, winning four, drawing two and losing one. It is worth noting that within four days, Birmingham defeated the main contenders for the title, Manchester City (1-0) and Arsenal (1-0).
"I am grateful and very proud of our work. The most important thing is to be consistent, to be demanding and to try to improve every day," Emery commented.
After 20 rounds of the Premier League, Aston Villa is second in the standings with 42 points.
