Former Manchester City and other English footballer Joey Barton has responded to the visit of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to Ukraine. As a reminder, the Prime Minister announced a new aid package of £2.5 billion and said that his country would support Ukraine as long as it is needed.

Later, the former footballer responded to a tweet by former British MP George Galloway:
"Our country is going to hell. Millions of people are living in poverty, crime, drugs, racial and social divisions are rampant. Our people have fallen into despair. It's time to give another £2.5 billion of our money to the crooks in Kyiv and burn it, setting the people of Yemen and Ukraine on fire."
Barton's response to this tweet: "Are these Ukrainians that bad? I think this money is another waste. A waste that we cannot afford. I agree that this country is going to hell. Can you tell me more about this conflict? I'm against Putin, by the way. Not against Russia," Barton wrote.
