According to AS, in the summer, the 38-year-old refused a three-year contract worth €300 million. At the time, the Croatian midfielder justified his decision by wanting to stay at the Madrid club, where he spent 12 seasons and became a legend. However, the Saudi clubs are still considering the option of presenting a new contract to Modric in the summer, when his current deal with Real Madrid expires. The exact details of the offer have not yet been disclosed.

On Sunday, Modric will have the opportunity to win another trophy with the cream of the crop. The Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona will take place in Riyadh.
