Former Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Serhii Sydorchuk, who now plays for Belgian side Westerlo, expressed his opinion on the system of training young players in Belgium.
"Everyone says that Belgium is a springboard for young players. While here, I noticed certain features of football development.
1. For one small town, there are three children's teams that train at the club. There is equipment, inventory - everything for the development of children.
⠀
2. From childhood, children are taught not to be afraid to take on the game - one-on-one play in training with children from 5-6 years old.
⠀
3. During the game, young players feel confident and relaxed. There is space for attacking players, no one is defending too tightly.
⠀
It is always interesting to analyse the differences in approach in different countries and highlight what works best and where. I think I will pay attention to this more than once in my posts," Sydorchuk wrote on his Instagram page.
