The management of Manchester United realised that the club needed structural changes, so they invited Omar Berrad.
The Mancunians were able to persuade one of the best specialists in the field of sports management to join them. Omar Berrada will become the new CEO of the club. The start date will be confirmed later; in the meantime, Patrick Stewart will remain interim CEO.
It is worth noting that Berrada joins MU from the Manchester City camp. Most recently, he was director of football operations at City Football Group, where he managed 11 clubs on five continents, and before that he held senior positions at Spanish club Barcelona.
"The club is determined to put football and performance at the centre of everything we do. Omar's appointment is the first step in this journey," the Manchester United press service said in a statement.
