Slovan Bratislava decided to tarnish their reputation and played a sparring match with Dynamo Moscow. Slovans tolerate terrorists and seem to consider it normal.
Ukrainian striker Sergei Borisenko played for Slovan in the late 90s. The 196cm forward won a golden double with the Bratislava team and as part of the Slovans faced Chelsea in the European Cup.
In a commentary to Football 24 Borisenko, who also played for Cherkasy Dnipro, Zvezda, Prykarpattya and Kryvbas, spoke about his attitude to his former club's action.
"Frankly, I have not heard about this case. There is no time especially for this, that's why I don't follow Slovan. But if such things happen, I can only say one thing. I invite Slovan and Dynamo Moscow to play in Kyiv. Let them see what Russia is doing on our soil. I think they will quite feel everything that Ukrainians experience on a daily basis. The word "horror" does not seem to sufficiently describe Russian aggression on our soil.
There are certain rules and norms in life that should be adhered to. In particular, the rules of common sense. I communicate with several guys from Slovakia. True, all of them are not from the sports world, but their position is unambiguous - they condemn Russia. If you try to understand what Slovan did, there is only one excuse - they don't realise what Russia is doing. It doesn't seem serious enough to them. For that you should just come to us and see everything with your own eyes. Then there will be no questions left.
After Slovan I played for Alania Vladikavkaz. I don't have any ties with Russians, I cut them off long ago. I am only in contact with Uzbeks and Georgians, whom I met at Alania," said Borisenko.
