On Wednesday, the official website of Vorskla Poltava released a statement from the club. Here it is in full:
"Since 1996, Vorskla (Poltava) has been consistently among the elite of Ukrainian football, setting itself the most ambitious goals year after year and representing the country in the European arena. Therefore, we have every moral right to declare order and systematic work in the highest football body of the country.
Due to the recent developments in Ukrainian football that contradict European values and the provisions of the UEFA Statutes, FC Vorskla announces its withdrawal from the collective membership of the Poltava Football Association."
