Andriy Shevchenko: "I want to invite Cheferin and the UEFA Executive Committee to Ukraine. Let them come and see what Russia is

The day after his appointment to the UAF, Shevchenko commented to British Sky Sports.

"I want to invite everyone who makes decisions in UEFA to Ukraine - President Cheferin, the executive committee, the rest of the committees. Before they make any decisions about Russia's return to football, let them come and see what Russia is doing. I want to talk to them, show them the current situation in the country, because it's getting worse all the time.

I see no reason to bring Russia back into football. Nothing is changing, people are dying every day, missiles are flying. I am against Russian athletes being brought back into the sport. About 350 stadiums have been destroyed in Ukraine, and a few days ago there was a massive attack on Kyiv.

We have problems with young players, because many of them are forced to leave Ukraine because of the war. It is important that they keep in touch with Ukraine," Shevchenko said.

    Ідея непогана, але:
    - чи погодяться вони приїхати в Україну під обстріли;
    - хіба вони в інформаційному вакуумі живуть і про ці злочини не знають;
    - чи захоче чеферін, як гоголівський Вій, сказати: "Підніміть мені повіки" в спепелити рашистський футбол., позбувшись газпромовських грошей?
