The new UAF General Secretary Ihor Hryshchenko spoke about the team's main tasks in 2024.
"I think that Andriy Mykolayovych, in his speech at the Congress, outlined clear first steps to be taken, and one of the first steps is to restore the trust of Ukrainian fans and the football community in an institution like the UAF. Your previous guest, Mr Shcherbakov, also emphasised this.
We are all aware that this is a problem now, so all the first steps will be aimed at restoring trust. How can we restore it: conducting an audit for the previous period of activity, creating transparent and open procedures, communicating with the media, with regional centres, with professional football clubs, and, as the previous guest noted, arbitration reform and strengthening Ukraine's position in the international arena, given the repeated attempts to bring back teams from the Russian Federation to international tournaments.
There is a clear understanding that arbitration is one of the key areas of work. As of today, we have existing contracts with foreigners, so we need to conduct an audit in this area, understand the conditions under which we can change the situation by the end of the season and plan a new arbitration system for the next season," Hryshchenko said on Suspilne Novosti.
