Morales scored in extra time, sealing the victory for their team. The match was not without drama as players from both teams were shown several yellow cards. A. Baena and Marcelino received yellow cards for Villarreal, and O. Romeu and Xavi - for Barcelona. E. Bailey, R. Lewandowski, R. Araujo, J. Mosquera and J. Cuenca were also suspended by the referee.
