Manchester United's new chief executive Omar Berrada has explained why football clubs should not pay their players wages that are too high.
"There needs to be a concrete justification as to why you are offering that particular salary, fee or commission. Once you start overpaying, you will miss the opportunity to rationalise it and then you will find yourself in a difficult position to sign the next player," The Financial Times quoted Berrada as saying.
