Vice President of the Crimean Football Federation Oleh Komunyar commented on the election of Andriy Shevchenko as the head of the UAF.
- Andriy Shevchenko is a well-known personality in our football and a great authority in European football. Of course, I would like him to be a good manager in his position, so that we can see the development of our football as we dream and want.
We understand that our country is currently at war, but despite this, we need to work. I believe that, first of all, the new UAF president should pay attention to the development of regional football. Now we see that some regions are without teams, even the western ones, where there is no active hostilities. We need to help clubs develop their infrastructure, it may not be correct to talk about it in a time of war, but there should be development plans.
I would also like to see fewer scandals in our football related to corruption and refereeing... Let's hope for the best that Andriy Shevchenko will become an effective manager, at least I expect him to. And something tells me that he will succeed," Komunyar said.
