Former Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu has once again explained why he refused to take charge of Turkish side Besiktas.
"I refused Besiktas because I do not want to go to the Turkish championship of the current season, repeating my own mistake, which I made when I led Inter (Lucescu led the "neradzurri" in the middle of the season-1998/99, but in four months Inter under his leadership slipped from 7th place to 9th, after which the Romanian specialist was fired - ed. ed.). I need at least a year and a half to work with the team," Tutto Juve quoted Lucescu as saying.
