The turning point came in the 71st minute when Wolves earned a penalty after a clever play by Pedro Sarabia. Sarabia stepped up confidently, converted the penalty and reduced the deficit to one goal.
Manchester United responded with two substitutions, replacing Casemiro and Rashford with Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial respectively. But it was McTominay who was the protagonist of the match, scoring a fantastic goal in the 75th minute to restore Manchester United's two goal lead. In a thrilling climax to the match, the Wolves never gave up. In the 90th minute they were rewarded for their persistence with a Pedro Neto goal in added time, leading to a thrilling finale. In added time, Ander Garnacha received a yellow card and tension was building, but it was their team who had the last laugh. Kabir Mainu scored just before the final whistle and sealed a 4-3 victory. This unusual match showed the unpredictability of football and the determination of both teams to win. It was an unforgettable meeting, which forced the fans to be at the limit of their abilities from the beginning to the end.
