Mittelstadt scored his second goal of the match in the 74th minute, increasing the gap to 3:1. This defeat proved to be too serious for Freiburg, and in an attempt to save the match, both teams made several substitutions in the final minutes. Freiburg substituted J. Makengo, N. Hofler, L. Holler, M. Ginter and M. Philipp for K. Günther, M. Grego, M. Grego and M. Philipp. Günther, M. Gregoric, F. Muslija, N. Weishaupt and V. Grifo. Stuttgart replaced K. Furich and M. Mittelstadt with J. Leveling, E. Millot, M. Dahoud and P. Stenzel. The match ended with a tense ending, in which L. Kubler and M. Philipp of Freiburg, as well as A. Stiller of Stuttgart received three more yellow cards in the final minutes. However, these warnings had little effect on the outcome of the game. VfB Stuttgart won a deserved victory, demonstrating their skill in attack and ability to capitalise on their chances. On the other hand, Freiburg, despite the red card, fought valiantly but ultimately failed to get back on track. This thrilling Bundesliga match between Freiburg and Stuttgart was a shining example of the skill, determination and unpredictability that make football so beloved by spectators.
