Both teams made several substitutions in the final minutes, trying to find a winning formula. Frosinone released Caio Jorge, V. Cheddira and D. Sekou, while Milan brought on K. Pulisic and L. Jovic. It was Luka Jovic who made an immediate impact in the 81st minute, scoring a sensational goal to put Milan ahead again. The Serbian forward showed his instincts by pouncing on a loose ball in the penalty area and shooting past the goalkeeper. As time ran out, Frosinone tried desperately to get back into the game. However, their efforts were in vain as AC Milan tightened up their defence and held on to their slender advantage. The match ended with a flurry of substitutions: M. Brescianini and A. Ibrahimovic, as well as D. Calabria and A. Florenzi came into the game. As a result, AC Milan won a deserved victory in this exciting game against Frosinone.
