Lopez in the 75th minute, while Alaves introduced N. Tenaglia instead of I. Hagi and A. Blanco instead of C. Benavides in the 78th minute. In the 83rd minute Barcelona made two more substitutions: A. Christensen and P. Cubarsi came on in place of O. Romeu and I. Martinez respectively. Alaves made no further changes, concentrating on finding ways to get back into the game. Alaves' frustration increased in the final minutes as none of the players were able to maintain discipline, leading to a yellow card for one of the players in the 90th minute. In the end, Barcelona held their lead and won the match 3-1. This victory further consolidated their position at the top of La Liga, while Alaves failed in their quest for a higher place in the league. The match at the Estadio de Mendisorrosa showcased Barcelona's attacking prowess and their ability to overcome adversity, even when left with ten men. Alaves fought valiantly but were ultimately defeated by a relentless Barcelona side.
