Trying to turn the match in their favour, Juventus made the first substitution in the 66th minute, replacing F. Kostic with T. Vea. This tactical move was aimed at bringing fresh energy into the team's attack. The second substitution for Juventus took place at the same time: K. Yildiz replaced F. Chiesa. Not to be outdone, Inter also decided to shake things up by making two substitutions in the 73rd minute.
M. Darmian came on in place of D. Dumfries and F. Dimarco replaced Carlos Augusto. Soon after, Inter's M. Thuram received a yellow card, which further inflamed the atmosphere of the game. However, on 77 minutes he was quickly replaced by M. Arnautovic. In the last minutes of the game the tension continued to grow. In the 88th minute, F. Gatti was replaced by Alex Sandro, while A. Cambiaso made way for F. Miretti in the same substitution. Juventus' Bremer also received a yellow card in the 88th minute. Meanwhile, Inter made their final substitutions in the 89th minute: N. Barella was replaced by D. Klaassen, while A. Bastoni made way for S. de Vray. Juventus also made their last substitution in the 90th minute: V. McKennie came on in place of C. Alcaraz. Despite furious attempts from both teams, the scoreline remained unchanged. Inter's early lead proved to be a winning one, allowing them to secure a difficult victory over a strong Juventus side. The match will be remembered for its competitive nature and the skill of the players. After the final whistle, Inter celebrated their triumph, while Juventus left the pitch disappointed.
