In the 81st minute, Sheffield United made two more substitutions, bringing on R. Brewster and O. Norwood in place of K. Archer and J. McAtee respectively. These changes showed the team's intention to keep control of the game and take the game to victory. In the 87th minute, Luton made one last substitution, with A. Doughty and K. Morris were replaced by L. Berry and K. Woodrow. However, these substitutions could not significantly affect the result. The match ended with a comfortable 3-1 victory for Sheffield United.
