We had all week to prepare. We wanted to defend very high and that's what we did. We were successful for a long time, but we also made some incredibly bad decisions, especially after winning the ball. That's when we lost confidence.
We are not going to throw in the towel. The gap with Bayer has increased, but the approach will not change. We must continue, we must get better and meet the standards.
I take responsibility for the tactical approach to the game, and it goes without saying that today I have to take the blame. We had a whole week to prepare, and my job is to put forward ideas and convince my players of this approach.
Unfortunately, today it didn't quite work out - it's not the first time and it won't be the last time in my coaching career. We had prepared well during the week and expected a lot from ourselves, but in the end we will return home without points.

Everything depends on us. We are not going to lose hope. We will try everything until the last match. Today, Bayer took their chance to increase the gap. All we can do is show a reaction and keep going. That is what we will do.
