"Dynamo in Turkey: a busy training day ahead of two games

The third week of Dynamo Kyiv's winter training camp in Turkey has come to an end. On Sunday, 11 February, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's team had two training sessions on the pitch.

By the way, the team has recently had two training fields near the hotel at its disposal; the team is training on one of them, and will be sparring on the other in the coming days.

The morning training session was accompanied by rain, which, however, did not prevent the Dynamo players from performing many game exercises. The training day began with an intensive warm-up, during which the players performed running exercises for frequency and also competed in a relay race, where they had to use not only explosive speed, but also decision-making and reaction.

During the main part of the training session, the White and Blues worked on ball retention and pressure in the squares, practised defensive and attacking interaction, with a quick transition from one half of the field to the other, and the most interesting exercise was when the two teams competed in a game with four standard goals - with all four first team goalkeepers involved in the game at the same time.

During the evening training session, the team worked on the quality of passing, tactics, simulating game situations and finishing attacks. Both the morning and evening training sessions were preceded by a lengthy theoretical session, during which the coaching staff led by Oleksandr Shovkovskyi analysed the mistakes the players had made in previous games.

On Monday and Tuesday, the White and Blues will play two more friendlies - against Rīga RFS and Dynamo Tbilisi. Two more sparring matches are scheduled for the final days of the training camp, so in less than a week Dynamo will play four games before returning to Ukraine.
