On Monday, 12 February, Dynamo Kyiv held another control match within the framework of the off-season training camp in Turkey. The opponent of the Ukrainian team was the club RFH from Latvia.
Control match
"Dynamo (Kyiv, Ukraine) - RFU (Riga, Latvia) - 1:0 ( 0:0)
Goal: Shaparenko (69, penalty)
"Dynamo": Morgun (Buschan, 46), Gusev (Karavaev, 71), Dyachuk, Sirota (Mikhavko, 71), Dubinchak (Vivcharenko, 71), Shepelev (Brazhko, 71), Shaparenko (Buyalsky, 71), Tsarenko (Voloshin, 71), Benito (Kabaev, 71), Supryaga (Ponomarenko, 71), Diallo (Vanat, 71).
RFS(starting line-up): Negurals, Savalnieks, Prenga, Mareš, Lipušček, Panic, Žalejko, Ikaunieks, Diomande, Lemajic, Odišarija.
Both teams started the match quite briskly, with several quick attacks. However, despite the rather experimental line-up, the Dynamo soon took the initiative.
On the 14th minute of the match Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's charges created the first dangerous moment at the RFU goal: Shaparenko dared to take a long-range low shot from twenty metres - the ball flew into the corner of the goal, but the Riga club's goalkeeper Negurals managed to convert the ball to a corner.
The Latvians responded just a minute later with two dangerous attacks: first, Lemaic failed to shoot on target after going one-on-one with Morguns, and after a cross from the right flank into the penalty area, the RFU defender shot inaccurately with his head from a few metres out.
Interestingly, in the 33rd minute of the match an identical one-on-one moment was not realised by the Kyivians. Supriyaga received a long pass from Diallo from his own half of the pitch, but having entered the operational space, frankly delayed his shot, allowing the defender to catch up with him and knock the ball to the corner.
Further on, the pace of the match noticeably decreased, which affected the quality of play. The teams fouled a lot, which forced the main referee to show several yellow cards in the first half....
After the break nothing drastically changed in the game - both teams were rather banal in attack, trying to cross the centre of the pitch at the expense of long passes. In the 51st minute Benito created a moment for himself by beating his opponent on the flank, but his final shot was inaccurate. RFS also relied on long kicks, but they were also identical in terms of accuracy.
The key moment in the match came in the 67th minute when the RFS goalkeeper fouled Benito in his own penalty area. The referee immediately called for a spot kick. Shaparenko confidently realised the penalty, having shot into the corner of the goal - 1:0.
Then Dynamo made a series of substitutions and the main squad came on the pitch. It is logical that it immediately reflected for the better on the quality of the game - Kyivians combined a lot and confidently played the first number. However, towards the end of the match RFH still created a killer moment to get back on track - the Latvian forward found himself in the centre of the penalty area and shot hard down the middle - Buschan reacted and parried the shot! As a result, a minimal victory for the Bilo-Syni.
Let us remind you that Dynamo will play their next match within the training camp in Turkey tomorrow, on 13 February. The opponent of Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's team will be Dynamo Tbilisi.
