Chelsea could keep up to six players this summer to raise funds for new acquisitions and reduce the pressure of financial fair play. American journalist Ben Jacobs expressed his thoughts on the matter.
"Chelsea are hoping to get £35m for Jan Maatsen, but they could accept £30m. He's been looking good for Dortmund, with another assist at the weekend, so his value is only going to increase.
Newcastle are expected to commit to Lewis Hall for £28 million. Armando Broy is expected to be sold for £35 million. Conor Gallagher and Trevo Chalobah could also be sold, and it's worth noting that Chelsea are still looking to get £37m for Romelu Lukaku," Jacobs wrote on his Twitter page.
