Arsenal London defender Kieran Tierney, who is currently on loan at Spanish side Real Sociedad, has praised the Canaries' Ukrainian international Oleksandr Zinchenko for his ability to play in the inverted left-back position.
"At the current Arsenal, a left-flank defender can be one of the most key players in the team. And if it is Oleksandr Zinchenko, he is one of the main talents of playing with a shift to the centre of midfield.
When this model of play was first introduced at Arsenal, it was foreign to me. I had never played in the centre of midfield. But I tried to learn it. When you see how well such a tactical idea works, it's hard to doubt its usefulness and effectiveness.
So I persistently learnt this new skill, practicing it with one of the best - with Zinchenko. For Alex, this technique looks absolutely natural, that's why he applies it so easily," the Daily Mail quoted Tierney as saying.
