The Bundesliga match between SV Darmstadt 98 and VfB Stuttgart at the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor was full of drama and excitement from start to finish. As the first half progressed, tension was building and the referee handed out several yellow cards. P. Stenzel of VfB Stuttgart received two yellow cards within a few minutes, leading to a red card and an early exit from the game.
In the second half, both teams made a flurry of substitutions in an attempt to change the game. VfB Stuttgart made a substitution in the 72nd minute, releasing Jung Woo-young in place of K. Furich. SV Darmstadt 98 also made three substitutions: F. Nurnberger, A. Seidel and F. Torsiello came on in place of K. Klarer, L. Pfeiffer and E. Karic. In the final minutes of the match VfB Stuttgart increased their lead with a goal from M. Dahoud in the 90th minute. However, SV Darmstadt 98 managed to get back on track thanks to a goal from A. Seidel in extra time. Despite all efforts, SV Darmstadt 98 failed to equalise before the final whistle. Overall, it was a tense and intense match between SV Darmstadt 98 and VfB Stuttgart, in which both teams gave their best on the pitch. As a result, "Stuttgart" defeated their opponents with a score of 2:1.
